Getting to Sicily, Italy

Although Sicily is a long way from almost every corner in Europe, there are still some easy ways to get to this city. One of the things that every airline should know is that there are no direct flights to Sicily outside Italy. This means that you have to look for alternative route to this city if you are planning to go for vacation or business trip.

If you want to fly into Sicily, there dare several routes that you can take. One is to fly either to Rome, Naples or Milan and then from there you can get a connecting flight to Palermo. If you do not want to fly, you can use train that runs directly to Sicily in form of a short ferry and once you step in Italy, you can take a bus or taxi from some of the major cities right to Palermo. The most common means of transport that connect Sicily to the mainland are the boat and ferry.
